Home › Landmarks › Hong Kong › The Peak
The Peak is an absolute must for visitors to Hong Kong – ascend 522 metres by tram and look out over the entire city – just make sure that it is not a foggy day. The Peak is one of our Top 10 things to do in Hong Kong.

With some seven million visitors every year, the Peak is a major tourist attraction of Hong Kong. It offers spectacular views of the city and its harbours. But the Peak is more than just stunning views or great shopping and dining. It’s an amazing collection of unique must-visit attractions, providing you with a diverse fun-filled experience of Hong Kong’s living culture.
Getting to the Peak by the Peak Tram is an unforgettable experience. The tram makes a few stops, so it’s possible to go half-way and hike the winding roads. One of the world’s oldest and most famous funicular railways, the tram rises to 396 metres (about 1,300 feet) above sea level. It is so steep that the buildings you pass look like they are leaning a gradient of between 4 to 27 degrees! Whether you are going up or coming down, you will love this trip.
